Brooks to join Austin on Team Virginia

Shannon Brooks has been selected by the VSGA to be a part of Team Virginia as an alternate for the upcoming Maryland v.Virginia Girls Matches -- July 10 and 11 at Turf Valley in Ellicott City, MD.

 

We recently reported that CAGT Member Alexandra Austin was named to Team Virginia by the VSGA for the upcoming Maryland v Virginia Girls Matches in July at Turf Valley.  Now comes news that CAGT Member Shannon Brooks has also been selected to that team as an alternate.

 

Shannon has played in several major events, including national championships amd placed very well in several of them.  She finished second in the recent MAPGA Spring Fling.  Shannon was also the low female scorer at CAGT's Raspberry Falls Open.

 

Most impressive is that Shannon's selection to Team Virginia comes at the age of just 12!  Congratulations Shannon.
